The Future is The Democratic Republic of Congo

The Democratic Republic of Congo is about to unfold its unlimited potentials for its population and the world.  Located in the heart of Africa, with a land mass of 2,345,410 km2 irrigated and fertilized by the great Congo River, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) shares 9.165 km of its borders with nine neighbouring countries, most specifically: the Republic of Congo (west), Central African Republic and Soudan (North), Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania (east), Angola and Zambia (south).  The DRC has an immense economical, geopolitical, and resource potential waiting to harness.  The DRC has a large territory with a growing young population.  Although, several sectors are heavy exploited notably the mining sector and the exploitation of other raw products, several sectors in the DRC are surprisingly unexploited, underdeveloped, or underserved.

Its mining sector
The DRC Congo is known for its diverse and extensive almost unlimited mining potential representing 1,100 different mineral substances from diamonds to lithium. It is representing 80% of the country GDP to emphasize the amount the disproportionate return compared to other sectors.

Its agriculture sector
The DRC offers several investment opportunities in the agricultural sector, from production to marketing, creating a competitive value chain in the sub-region.

With its exceptional agronomic potential and an area of agricultural land unequalled in Africa, the DRC has the potential to feed the African continent and more.

Indeed, DR Congo has more than 80 million arable lands, of which less than 10% are currently exploited. The diversity of climates, supported by an important hydrographic network, allows for a wide range of agricultural speculation.
The fishing potential, located in the Congolese parts of the Atlantic Ocean, the Congo River, and all the lakes, is estimated at 707,000 tons of fish per year.

Its energy sector
The Congo River, with its basin straddling the Equator, offers the DRC an exploitable energy potential estimated at 100,000 MW, spread over 780 sites located in 145 territories and 76,000 villages. This potential represents about 37% of the total African potential and nearly 6% of the world potential.

The DRC also has significant potential in renewable energy resources such as biomass, wind, solar, biogas, biofuel.

Its forestry sector
With its150,000,000 ha, DRC has 47% of the African tropical forests and 6% of the world’s tropical reserves. Despites protected areas; DRC is a major player at the global scale on fighting climate change while having a potential of producing 10,000,000 m3 of wood per year.

Its infrastructure, industry, housing, and transport sectors
Having these sectors undeveloped provide huge investment opportunities to serve a growing population of 100 million Congolese. Investing in this sector offer the advantage of large pool of cheap labour combine with a huge diversity of raw materials
